Healthengine is pleased to launch an innovative new feature in collaboration with Google to make patient bookings easier and more efficient than ever.
Reserve with Google integrates Healthengine technology to display a ‘Book Online’ button directly on practice customers’ Google Business Profiles.
This streamlines the booking process for patients to make appointments directly from search results.
This innovation is now being deployed in collaboration with Healthengine for Australian healthcare practices.
Why this matters for practices in Australia:
- Drive patient growth: Patients searching for local GPs on Google Search or Maps now have a seamless path to book directly from a practice’s Google Business Profile. This can help to boost online visibility, reduce drop-offs and increase appointment volumes.
- Secure and private by design: With patient data protection paramount, all bookings are handled with robust levels of encryption and privacy. Healthengine will never pass patient data to Google through this integration.
- No additional subscription fees: however applicable usage fees will still apply for bookings made via Healthengine through this integration. This innovative feature is part of Healthengine’s commitment to supporting GP practice growth and innovation, adding value for customers with no additional subscription costs.
How it works
When patients search for a medical practice or local GP provider on Google Search or Maps, a ‘Book Online’ button will appear on the practice’s Google Business Profile. With a single click, patients are seamlessly directed to make an appointment via Healthengine’s leading online booking technology, helping position your practice as their first choice.
This feature will automatically roll out to all Healthengine GP practices from 3 February 2025. No action is required by you. Healthengine, in collaboration with Google, will manage the setup so practices can start seeing results immediately.
